When did you start working for CBU?
What has been your favorite organization to work with during your time here at CBU?
Angels for Athletes stands out because of Kara. She is one of the nicest people I’ve met and she’s passionate about the foundation she started. She’s an overall good person, with a big heart.
Depends on the day, some days it’s Pulp Fiction, some days it’s The Fifth Element.

What has been your favorite moment while working for CBU?
If I had to name just one thing, having Dennis Rodman in our office was pretty interesting.
What is on your playlist?
Rilo Kiley, Seu Gorge, Bob Marley, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Cat Power, Lana Del Rey, Lucius, and a lot of miscellaneous stuff.
If you were stuck on an island what are the top three things would you bring?
Assuming I’m stuck because I don’t have a phone- Sunscreen, Swiss army knife, and a Lifestraw (a water filter).

Recently, Charity Benefits had the privilege of partnering with two fantastic charities and traveling to Lake Oconee, Georgia to help raise money.
The first event was hosted by the Bruce Arians Family Foundation. Before the foundation’s annual Celebrity Golf Classic, a gala dinner and concert was held, during which we raised money for the foundation. Athletes and celebrities from across the nation enjoyed a great dinner and bid on signature framed items, as well as our new jewelry line. The second event was the Enduring Hearts gala dinner before their 2nd Annual Celebrity Golf Classic. Celebrities in attendance included former University of Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray and American Idol season five winner Taylor Hicks! An inside look at Charity Benefit’s setup at the Arians’ Golf Classic Gala on June 28
Over the course of the two events, CBU raised over $8,000 for the Arians Family Foundation and Enduring Hearts. One of our employees working these events was ‘Creator of All Things’, James Hunt, who said:
“It was a great week in Georgia helping raise awareness and funds for these two great charities. Always a pleasure working events like the Arians Family Foundation.”

We here at Charity Benefits Unlimited pride ourselves on our ability to exceed our partner’s fundraising goals. Being able to demonstrate our passion through fundraising allows us to give back to the community that helped make this company what it is today.
This past Sunday, June 7th, we attended a dinner hosted by the ALS Association. Through our silent auction, we were able to help raise money for medical research and general awareness for Lou Gehrig’s disease. Partnering with amazing charities like ALS, Make-A-Wish, and Helping Hands, just to name a few, and raise money for fantastic causes is what we are all about.
Fundraising at these unique events allows us to not only raise money for diseases like ALS, but we also get to help with organizations that work with many other situations; such as wounded veterans, abandoned animals and children with life threatening illnesses. It allows us to span our work to countless charities, countries, and people.
We have executed over 5,000 silent auctions and have helped benefit well over 500 charities in our eight years, and each provides a different sense of satisfaction for us. Our love for fundraising allows us to come in each day knowing that at any given time we are helping someone, somewhere through our silent auctions.
On April 30, 2015 we presented one of our Auctions in Action partners, Arizona Broadway Theater, with a check for $1,547.99. The vision and goal of Arizona Broadway Theatre has always been to offer a total entertainment experience – a one-of-a-kind venue combining quality dining and professional theater while helping the community. We cannot thank our partners enough that remain diligent and dedicated to supporting their community in any way they can.
Last week, our Creative Product Genius, James, picked up a new hobby – bull riding! He, along with a few coworkers, headed out to Buffalo Chip Saloon in Cave Creek to test his luck against Rocky Road. Watch the video above for your enjoyment:

Here at CBU, we decided to have a group pot luck and dress up for Halloween to celebrate. Our staff turned into superheroes, a cat, mummy, “Cavey” Perry and a Legends of the Hidden Temple contestant to name a few. What did you dress up as? CBU and the Phoenix Suns have signed a multi-year contract to host auctions at select games and fundraising events for Phoenix Suns Charities. So come check out our silent auctions and bid to raise money for a great organization! We’ll see you at the first Suns game!
Our beloved President and Chief Fundraising Officer, Kyle Bell, thought the office could use a cool treat for working so hard during our office’s big move (more on that later.) So he had a taco stand set up in our own front yard! It was a time to come together and enjoy each other’s company while chowing down on some seriously #goodeats. There was even a little contest between Jared and James to see how many street tacos they could consume – James was the victor with an impressive 17! Check out the pics below.

After our first month of our new charity of the month program, we’re happy to report back fantastic results for Boys and Girls Club of Metro Phoenix. This month we will be donating $885.00 to their organization!
Our business is exceeding your fundraising goals and assisting charities raise money for their causes. We chose to further our efforts by taking a page out of our own playbook. Any in-office sales will automatically include a 10% donation to a designated charity each and every month!
This month, we’re looking for your help. We want you to submit a charity to us and tell us why they deserve 10% of our in-store profits for the month. Tell us their story—tell us what makes them thrive in our community. Tell us why we should donate to their cause—and we will!
