Choose Your Charity: Q3
Headquartered in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona, the weather is really heating up this time of the year at CBU. But you know what’s even hotter? Our fundraising efforts! With nearly 6 months left in 2018, we are rapidly approaching the $5.4M mark for total raised for charities and non-profits. Our recently launched ‘Choose Your Charity’ program has been a big contributor to that incredible number and we’re excited to keep the program going as we kick off Q3. How does the program work? It’s simple! Each quarter, a portion of each showroom sale is donated to one of four featured charities. The best part? Our customers gets to choose which cause they will be supporting! Today we are excited to announce the four charities we will be supporting now through September 30th. Those organizations are the Sun Devil Club, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project and the Arizona Humane Society.
Sun Devil Club: School may be out for the summer, but that doesn’t mean our fundraising efforts take a vacation. One of our favorite partners, the Sun Devil Club raises money to provide resources that allow Sun Devil student athletes the opportunity to thrive and grow while at ASU and after they graduate. Make-A-Wish Foundation: It was an easy choice selecting Make-A-Wish foundation as one of our four featured charities this quarter. Make-A-Wish consists of thousands of volunteers, donors, and supporters who work to grant the wishes of children diagnosed with critical illnesses. Over the years we have raised a tremendous amount of money for the Make-A-Wish Arizona chapter through our Auctions in Action (AiA) program at the three valley Dave & Buster’s locations, and we are excited to announce that we have now expanded that partnership to include Dave & Buster’s Orange County, CA. The Orange County location will be fundraising for the main Make-A-Wish Foundation chapter, the same chapter that will benefit from our Choose Your Charity program. Wounded Warrior Project (WWP): It’s a huge honor to support a cause like Wounded Warrior Project. WWP serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001. We look forward to future event partnerships with them, and hope to make this quarter one of our most successful yet fundraising for this important organization. You can learn more about WWP here.
Arizona Humane Society: After incredible results fundraising for the Arizona Humane Society in the first quarter of 2018, they are back by popular demand for Q3. The largest animal rescue and welfare organization in Arizona, the Arizona Humane Society has been committed to improving the lives of animals and serving the people of our community for nearly 60 years. We are thrilled to be supporting this wonderful organization through our Choose Your Charity program for the second time in 2018.
