Choose Your Charity: Holiday Season
It’s our favorite time of the year here in the valley, the temperatures have finally dropped after a long summer, and the holiday season is right around the corner!
Unfortunately, the holidays are not the happiest time of year for many of our community members who struggle with financial hardship or health challenges. That’s why we are asking YOU, our valued customers, to join us in making a difference this holiday season through our Choose Your Charity program.
How does it work? It’s easy! Simply visit our showroom located in North Scottsdale, Monday – Friday, between 9am – 5p, to shop our incredible collection of sports, celebrity and historical memorabilia. A portion of each sale will benefit one of four featured charities, and you get to choose which charitable organization you would like to support. What better way to get your holiday shopping done early, and for a great cause!
Now through December 31st, we are proud to support the Sun Devil Club, Make-A-Wish, Toys for Tots and St. Mary’s Food Bank as our Choose Your Charity benefiting organizations.
Sun Devil Club: Sun Devil football is well underway and while the team, led by coach Herm Edwards, has seen their ups and downs this season, they have certainly shown some incredible growth and potential. Other fall athletic teams that have seen recent success include the ASU Women’s Volleyball team and the ASU Men’s Ice Hockey team. After upsetting Washington, the volleyball team was ranked for the first time since 2015 and the hockey team started 2-0 for the first time in history! The Sun Devil Club raises money to provide resources for these student athletes allowing them the opportunity to thrive and grow while at ASU, and once they graduate. Make-A-Wish: Transforming lives one wish at a time, Make-A-Wish has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work since 1980. Wishes are more than just a nice thing. And they are far more than gifts, or singular events in time. Wishes impact everyone involved – wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals and communities. For wish kids, just the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatments. Parents might finally feel like they can be optimistic. And still others might realize all they have to offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy. Toys for Tots: Giving back to the children in our community during the holiday season is paramount at Charity Benefits Unlimited, so making Toys for Tots a sponsored charity this quarter was an easy decision. Toys for Tots has reached 251 million children since 1947 with an incredible 548 million toys. AMAZING! They believe that every child deserves a Christmas, and we couldn’t agree more! St Mary’s Food Bank: Based in Arizona, St. Mary’s Food Bank serves to alleviate hunger through the gathering and distribution of food while encouraging self-sufficiency, collaboration, advocacy and education. With ever dollar donated providing enough food for 7 meals, together we can truly make a difference this holiday season.
