The Greatest Show on Grass returns next week as the 2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open tees off here in our home town of Scottsdale! During one of our favorite weeks of the year, Charity Benefits Unlimited will be onsite in the Expo Center fundraising for Thunderbirds Charities. Founded in 1986, the mission of Thunderbirds Charities is to assist children and families, to help people in need, and to improve the quality of life in our communities. Each year, our fundraising efforts at the Phoenix Open help to support this incredible organization and the programs they offer. In total, we have raised nearly $270.000! You can catch the practice rounds at TPC Scottsdale on Monday and Tuesday, but the real fun begins on Wednesday with the Annexus Celebrity Pro-Am. Participating celebrities include: Arizona Cardinals players Larry Fitzgerald and Patrick Peterson, former Cardinals head-coach Bruce Arians, Pro Football Hall of Famers Emmitt Smith and John Elway, decorated Olympian Michael Phelps, and many more!
The actual tournament tees off on Thursday at 7:30am and goes through Sunday. There are some great names in the field this year, including headliners Rickie Fowler, Jon Rahm, Jordan Spieth, Hideki Matsuyama (winner of the 2016 and 2017 Phoenix Open), and legend Phil Mickelson.
After spending a day on the golf course, you can head over to the Birds Nest Concert Series for a night cap. Plenty of drinks and live entertainment will be available Wednesday – Saturday. Scheduled performers include: Flo Rida, Florida Georgia Line, One Republic, Zedd and Nelly.
The Birds Nest Concert Series, January 31 – February 3rd, gates open at 3:30pm and the headliner takes the stage at approximately 8:30pm each night
